About The Position

We currently have an immediate opportunity for an Truck Driver to join the POWDER DIVISION at our ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA location.  Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Shift: 5am - 1:30pm. Must be able to work overtime and weekends when necessary. SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the local shipping of finish goods and returns to vendors, pickups of raw materials and components and transfers between facilities.

Requirements

  • Must have valid California Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and current medical DOT card.
  • Must have experience operating pallet jacks, forklifts and walkie stacker.
  • Must be proficient in Basic Math and must be computer literate.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Effective written communication skills, including legibility.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Must be detail oriented and organized.
  • Must be flexible to change priorities on assigned tasks.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English well enough to complete assigned tasks and communicate effectively.
  • Must be able to interface with different level of associates in different departments.
  • Must be familiar with the use of road maps.
  • Must have legible handwriting.
  • Moderate level of physical effort required for a variety of physical activities to include walking, standing and sitting.
  • Significant level of mental / visual effort required in order to assure the safe transportation of all items.
  • Ability to talk to and hear persons contacted on the job.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lb.
  • Must be able to climb to driver’s seat and flat bed / truck.

Responsibilities

  • Check vehicles for safety and mechanical problem on a daily basis.
  • Complete, maintain and file accordingly “Daily Driver Trip Report Sheet”
  • Verify all paperwork on shipments and pick ups before transporting.
  • Insure B.I.T. inspections are being done every 90 days in compliance with California law.
  • Must properly and safely operate material handling equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts and walkie stacker)
  • Interact with vendors and customers on daily basis to set up dock appointments.
  • File all transportation documentation according to SOP’s
  • Maintain vehicles clean and report all maintenance issues to immediate supervisor
  • Maintain wood pallets area clean and organized
  • Comply with all SOP’s and GMP’s
  • As necessary, performs other related functions of which the above are representative.
  • Assisting in cycle counts during the year end inventory
