About The Position

Short Haul Truck Drivers are responsible for loading and delivering product to customers and performing general maintenance around the warehouse and grounds.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate in both the written and spoken language of English to a level that will allow the safe and effective performance of the job.
• Ability to read, interpret, and distinguish road signage.
• Ability to utilize GPS and maps to safely manage time and efficiency of the transportation of goods.
• Current valid Class A CDL.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DOT medical card.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks on all trucking equipment before departure.
• Report any mechanical issues right away to Warehouse Manager.
• Obey all traffic laws and safety requirements.
• Accurately maintain ELD records.
• Transport loads from warehouse to customer location in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.
• Pick and pack loads for shipment.
• Load and unload product based on customer requirements.
• Keep clean and safe working area and vehicle.
• Safely operate forklift.
• Represent the company and the trucking industry in a professional manner.
