About The Position

Matthews International is seeking an OTR Driver to join our Logistics Team in Aurora, Indiana for our memorialization business segment. The ideal candidate will have over the road commercial driving experience. The OTR Truck Driver will be responsible for the delivery of caskets to our customers, Distribution Hubs, and vendors regionally as well as over long distances in various states. Most of the driving will be to our Distribution HUBs in Dallas, Plainfield, IN, Atlanta and Harrisburg, PA. The Driver will be driving a Manual Transmission Truck so must be comfortable with operating manual transmission. You will be responsible to comply with Federal Motor Carrier rules and regulations. Our drivers may be required to work weekends. Home 2-3 days per week. Competitive Starting Rate of $20.20 hourly with a .60c mile pay. Requirements

• Previous driving experience of a Class A vehicle.
• Commercial Driver’s License, CDL A license.
• Current DOT medical card or ability to obtain one.
• Experience operating CDL A vehicle with manual transmission.
• Completion of a training course at an accredited truck driving school will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Inspects truck for defects before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition.
• Deliver new caskets and raw materials to our Distribution HUBs as well as Service Centers in various parts of the country.
• Keeps driver log maintained according to ICC regulations.
• May assist workers in loading and unloading truck.
• Additional duties as assigned.
