IT’S AMAZING WHAT CAN HAPPEN WHEN YOU START COMPLETELY FRESH! This team member will move product to and from various locations throughout Texas (approx. 100-mile radius). This position has a fixed rotational schedule but will need to be flexible as we are starting up our Ennis fleet.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Valid Commercial driver’s license (CDL “A”) required
  • 2+ years proven experience in commercial truck driving preferred
  • Self-starter who works well independently
  • Clean driving record with no moving violations
  • Skilled and confident driver
  • Comfortable maneuvering tractor into loading and unloading positions
  • Alert, focused and detailed oriented
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs. at a time
  • An innate sense of direction
  • Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful
  • Strong verbal communicator

Responsibilities

  • Qualified with a CDL “A” to operate and safely drive your assigned commercial company vehicle with a Gross Vehicle Weight over 26,000 lbs.
  • Transport pallet of goods and packages from place of origin to assigned destination
  • Ensure contents are properly secured inside of truck to prevent breakage or damage
  • Obtain signatures or warehouse scans to confirm and complete deliveries with the clients
  • Confirm contents of each shipment load matches the manifest document
  • Stay on predetermined route and ensure timely transport and delivery
  • Perform inspections of your company vehicle prior to and at the end of your shift
  • Always ensure your vehicle is kept clean
  • Notify Transportation Supervisor/Manager of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered
  • Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs
  • Track and report working hours
  • Adhere to company rules and regulations
  • Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive in according to the weather/road conditions. Make safety a priority always.
