About The Position

The Role: Our site in Prairie View Texas is seeking a over the road truck driver to join our team. Can be living in any location that is commutable to our Prairie View site to pickup and load the truck or it is possible to park the truck at your home at the end of each week if you can provide a safe parking location. This role is Monday-Friday, with work hours as needed to complete the job per Federal driving regulations. May have to work some weekends. What you'll do: Primarily responsible for providing customer delivery of chemicals and safely operating a diesel, multi-geared bobtail truck/pup and/or tractor- trailer combination vehicle over heavily congested city highways, rolling and mountainous terrain, rural and oil lease roads. Responsible for the preventative maintenance of any type of vehicle used to deliver chemicals to customers, plants and/or warehouse locations. Abides by all safety procedures and practices applicable to location and position; participates in appropriate safety training; demonstrates dedication to and support of EH&S principles and values; champions safety as vital. Performs other duties assigned by management that fall within the generally encouraged scope of this position. Load trailers and schedule daily runs to meet customer delivery requirements. Maintain truck and equipment in a safe and operable condition at all times by performing daily and periodic mechanical and safety inspections. Responsible for accurate up-to-date delivery location maps and operates in accordance with DOT regulations governing the transportation of hazardous materials in accordance with homeland security requirements and guidelines. Maintain driver's hours of service and logbook reporting. Maintain regular communication with the fleet office and supervisor in order to report field problems and/or safety hazards. Wear appropriate safety gear at all times during delivery operations. Keeps current on safety techniques and take advantage of all opportunities to improve driving and safety skills. Recognize and avoid safety hazards in the work environment. DOT Compliant Tanker Endorsement – minimum 1 year Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements

HS Diploma
Must have a current Class a Commercial Driver's License (CDL), issued by the state in which the candidate resides with Tanker endorsement and Medical Card.
Three (3) years commercial driving experience, aligned with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and DOT regulations, in the past five years required.
Acceptable motor vehicle record for past 5 years
Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
Physical - Requires manual lifting of up to 50 lbs. capable of standing and kneeling for a duration of time.
Position may require the pulling of heavy hoses, strapping stock, getting on top of the transport.

Nice To Haves

Experience with the operation of forklifts, drum dollies, trailer hoists, chemical pumps, hoses, meters, printers and gauges preferred.
Experience with handling products in various types of packages including bulk and drums preferred.
Experience in customer relations preferred.
Experience performing warehouse duties, which include preventative maintenance duties, inventory and ordering of chemicals, receiving incoming shipments, coordinating warehouse for safe and efficient chemical storage, operation of customized chemical manufacturing equipment and the upkeep of warehouse grounds preferred.
Awareness of chemical safety and the measures to take in the event of skin contact or spill preferred.
