About The Position

Ripple Glass has an opening for a full-time Commercial Route Driver, based out of our College Park Processing Plant. This position will conduct regular pick-ups of glass recycling containers from local businesses such as bars, restaurants, and apartment Complexes. We are looking for a safe, reliable individual with a clean driving record, who maintains a feeling of pride in their work and strives to achieve goals. As a Commercial Route Driver, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Driver must have knowledge of truck components and safety equipment and comply with all federal, state, and local traffic laws or regulations regarding commercial vehicle operation. Good customer services skills to meet and exceed customer expectations; acts in a professional, courteous and cooperative manner toward customers, co-workers, and those they share the road with; works with a sense of honesty and trustworthiness. Good time management skills to ensure assigned responsibilities are completed in an efficient and safe manner. Good follow-through ability; adheres to work schedule and follows through on challenges as they arise. Ability to adhere to Company policies and rules set forth; promotes the Company’s safety standards; does not take inappropriate risks. The Commercial Driver performs a dedicated pick-up route of glass recycling containers from businesses. Driver uses hydraulic-tipping mechanisms to safely load and unload containers and communicates with Ripple Glass personnel to coordinate improvements towards efficient routing and scheduling. This position will also deliver recycling containers to new and existing customers and perform the delivery and pick-up of recycling containers provided for events. Driver must monitor glass containers for evidence of unacceptable waste and clean area around containers as necessary. Driver must ensure adherence to all applicable safety standards and policies. Other duties as assigned: Driver may be expected to complete various tasks around the Sibelco Processing Plant to supporting Sibelco Glass Processing Operations. Tasks dependent on experience and training may include but not limited to: Basic Equipment maintenance, forklift operation, front end loader operation, line housekeeping.
