Deliver SOLO To: Yard Jockey and Offsite Fueling Route: Local Home Daily Tractor Type: Yard Tractor - Yard experience a must Trailer Type: Dry Van 48', 53’ Equipment: Cherry Pickers, Order Pickers, Pallet Jacks, Forklifts, etc Will assist in Warehouse when needed DOT Medical Card Required Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 Roadside Maintenance and Company Drivers fuel up the trucks at over 800 Maintenance Facilities Nationwide. Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Must have verifiable driving experience in "like" equipment: 9 Months experience in the past 3 years, OR 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test
  • Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Yard Driver Examination
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
  • Important Note: Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Primarily responsible for safely handling and maneuvering tractor trailers on the yard, but cannot drive on public roads
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
  • Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
  • Maintaining accurate records and logs
  • Maintaining accurate move and yard inventory records
  • Other tasks as assigned
