About The Position

Immediate opening for a SOLO Part Time NON CDL Truck Driver and we want the right Trucker to join us at Ryder in Shreveport, LA. You might be wondering what your paycheck will look like. $595 or more per week - And it gets better. Driver Positions Pay Weekly. Hourly Pay: $24.98 Per Hour. Health Stipend: $4.80 Per Hour. Hours Per Week: 20 - 25 Hours per Week. Paid Training. Schedule: Monday - Saturday. Start Time: 4:00 AM - 8:00 PM. Must have Straight Truck Experience. Deliver SOLO To: 25 mile radius from Shreveport. Route: Local Home Daily. Trailer Type: 26' Straight Trucks. Equipment: Rolling Carts & Lift Gates. Ryder will Train you on all equipment needed to be successful. Freight: Touch – US Mail (Must be Registered for Military draft). Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 Roadside Maintenance and Company Drivers fuel up the trucks at over 800 Maintenance Facilities Nationwide.

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Must have verifiable driving experience in like equipment
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities

• Safely driving a vehicle within and requires compliance with safety regulations
• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
• Maintaining accurate records
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Other tasks as assigned
