About The Position
The Newark Board of Education is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Truck Driver within various locations. This position is governed by the New Jersey Civil Service Commission, and candidates will be placed as provisional employees. Upon hire, employees must complete a 90-day working test period during which their performance will be evaluated. Successful completion of this probation period is required to remain in the position as a permanent employee. The Truck Driver will operate a truck with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of less than 26,000 pounds to transport nonhazardous materials, equipment, or people, and will perform related work as required.
