Position Summary: The Truck Driver is responsible for transporting finished goods and raw materials to and from local manufacturing plants, suppliers or vendors.

Requirements

Class A or B CDL License
Ability to safely operate the motor vehicle.
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Solid problem-solving skills.
Ability to contribute and work in a team environment.
Ability to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness to ensure first quality of work.
Ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with people in the course of work.
Willingness to work additional hours in order to meet tight deadlines.
Ability to safely operate a forklift.
High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
Current DOT physical.
Current Motor Vehicle Record.

Responsibilities

Transport finished goods and raw materials to and from local manufacturing plants, suppliers or vendors within 250 miles.
Normal driving schedule is usually 5:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; home every night.
Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
Plan routes to meet delivery schedules.
Comply with all federal, state and local rules and regulations as well as company policies and procedures.
Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
Report defects, accidents, or violations.
Maintain accurate receipts for all fuel purchases.
Verify loads against shipping papers.
Load and unload trucks.
May perform other duties as assigned.
