About The Position

The Truck Driver Light position at VDOT involves addressing customer needs by picking up and delivering parts for VDOT sites while assisting with inventory control. Requirements

• 24-hour availability.
• Valid Driver's License with two years of driving experience.
• Obtain and maintain a forklift license.

Nice To Haves

• Delivery Driver experience.
• Auto and/or heavy duty truck parts experience.
• Inventory experience.
• P1 or P2 ASE certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service including attention to detail and greeting customers.
• Review requisition forms for completeness and accuracy.
• Answer customer inquiries regarding part availability.
• Ensure correct parts are researched and provided based on customer needs.
• Inform customers when requested parts are available.
• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
• Familiarize with and adhere to the Product Group Catalog, Policy and Procedures Manual, and MANCON's SOPs and Safety Manual.
• Drive to designated locations to purchase or pick up parts.
• Provide necessary documentation to vendors as required.
• Review invoices at vendor locations for accuracy in pricing and quantities.
• Return products to the MANCON location in a timely manner.
• Assist in generating invoices for customer requisitions in the inventory system.
• Assist in entering vendor receiving documents in the inventory system.
• Assist in physically receiving vendor orders and performing weekly inventory cycle counts.
• Participate in Wall to Wall inventories at the site.
• Follow guidelines for vehicle and equipment maintenance.
• Provide 24-hour support at the VDOT location during emergencies.
• Assist with inventory research projects as requested.
• Adhere to required procedures and assist the Store Supervisor as assigned.
• Participate in the SCM continuing training program.
