About The Position

Drivers are responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of materials to the customer base and the backhauling of materials to the facility. Requirements

  • Applicant must be 21 or older.
  • 1 year experience driving for a company with pre-trip vehicle knowledge.
  • Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state department(s) of transportation regulations
  • Must hold required non-commercial Class R driver’s license appropriate for weight of vehicle to be operated

Nice To Haves

  • Box truck or flatbed experience preferred.
  • Must have ability to work alone with common hand tools.
  • Can self-problem solve situations installing windows.

Responsibilities

  • Drivers operate company owned vehicles on public streets and highways.
  • Opening and closing facility gates, reading and following shipping documents
  • Maintaining accurate logs and following instructions from the Dispatcher.
  • Drivers may or may not participate in the loading of materials but are responsible for securing the load using approved devices and methods.
  • Perform Pre and Post Trip Inspections of delivery equipment
  • Provide excellent customer service to customers during delivery and pickup operations
  • Identify and report safety, discrepancy and efficiency concerns
  • Follow detailed shipping documents, bills of lading and report any deviations to manager
  • Facilitate window installations
  • All other duties assigned.
