Truck Driver/Window Installations - Class R
About The Position
Drivers are responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of materials to the customer base and the backhauling of materials to the facility. Requirements
- Applicant must be 21 or older.
- 1 year experience driving for a company with pre-trip vehicle knowledge.
- Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state department(s) of transportation regulations
- Must hold required non-commercial Class R driver’s license appropriate for weight of vehicle to be operated
Nice To Haves
- Box truck or flatbed experience preferred.
- Must have ability to work alone with common hand tools.
- Can self-problem solve situations installing windows.
Responsibilities
- Drivers operate company owned vehicles on public streets and highways.
- Opening and closing facility gates, reading and following shipping documents
- Maintaining accurate logs and following instructions from the Dispatcher.
- Drivers may or may not participate in the loading of materials but are responsible for securing the load using approved devices and methods.
- Perform Pre and Post Trip Inspections of delivery equipment
- Provide excellent customer service to customers during delivery and pickup operations
- Identify and report safety, discrepancy and efficiency concerns
- Follow detailed shipping documents, bills of lading and report any deviations to manager
- Facilitate window installations
- All other duties assigned.
