This position requires the ability to drive a truck with a capacity of at least 26,001 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR). The driver may load and unload the vehicle as required and must possess a commercial driver's license. The role involves greeting customers with respect and courtesy, staying updated on product inventory and functionality, providing relevant information, and listing customer orders to ensure excellent customer service. Key responsibilities also include inspecting the vehicle for mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment, following safety procedures for transporting goods, securing cargo, interpreting maps for routes, maneuvering trucks for loading/unloading, reporting vehicle defects or accidents, obtaining receipts or signatures for deliveries, checking load documentation, collecting delivery instructions, and operating various communication and navigation equipment. The driver is also responsible for loading/unloading assistance and adhering to company policies and safe working practices.
