About The Position

Nisbet Brower is a reputable building material supply company that values safety, reliability, and professionalism. We deliver goods to various locations across the country, and we are seeking a highly skilled Class A Truck Driver to join our team. As a Class A Truck Driver, you will be responsible for operating our commercial trucks to transport goods to various destinations safely and efficiently. Your duties will include loading and unloading cargo, securing loads, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and maintaining accurate records of deliveries.

Requirements

Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
Minimum of 2 years of experience operating commercial vehicles.
Excellent driving skills and a strong commitment to safety.
Ability to load and unload cargo and operate equipment used for securing loads.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic math and computer skills to maintain accurate records.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain commercial trucks, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
Safely load and unload cargo, ensuring that loads are properly secured.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, documenting any issues or concerns.
Plan routes and schedules to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members.
Maintain a clean and organized truck, ensuring that all required equipment and supplies are on board.
Comply with all state and federal transportation regulations, including DOT and FMCSA rules.
