Truck Driver - CDL Class A - Penske Logistics
About The Position
This is a full-time local Class A CDL Truck Driver position with Penske Logistics, offering an average annual salary of $72,200. The role involves a dedicated linehaul route to Anderson, SC and back, with a Monday through Friday schedule starting at 3:45 PM, ensuring drivers are home daily. Drivers will operate late-model Penske Truck Leasing trucks, which are designed for comfort and safety and equipped with inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras. The position emphasizes safe and on-time product delivery, excellent customer service, and building relationships with accounts, as drivers will represent both Penske and its clients, potentially driving client-branded trucks and wearing their uniforms. Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- Domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in state of residence
- Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
- 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years
- 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
- Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
- English language proficiency (compliant with 49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2))
- Work the required schedule and specific location
- Complete Penske employment application
- Submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
- Ability to accept responsibility for own safety, as well as the safety of others
