About The Position

Drives 24’ thru 28’ truck (Van, Straight bed, box truck and/or curtain side) to transport and deliver products, in loose or packaged form, by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Drives truck to destination. Inspects truck for defects before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition. Maintains driver log according to I.C. regulations.    Counts items on the truck when loading and unloading to secure proper amounts and material are correct.  Assists workers in loading and unloading truck.    Talks to customer and helps in any way to complete order. Ask for feedback from customers.

Requirements

  • One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Minimum CDL B license required.
  • Driver must have, meet and maintain all necessary credentials for maintaining their license.
