About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Williamson, NY, offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a stable driving career. Drivers can expect to earn $1456 or more per week, with an hourly pay of $22.40 for 50-55 hours per week. A sign-on bonus of $1000 is paid at 30 days and another $1000 at 90 days. The position includes paid training and operates on a Monday-Friday schedule with start times ranging from 4:00 AM - 4:00 PM or 5:00 PM - 5:00 AM. Drivers will deliver solo to Williamson, Macedon, and North Chili, with routes that are home daily and involve yard work. The tractor type is a Day Cab, and the trailer type is a Dry Van 53’. Ryder provides training on all necessary equipment. The freight consists of no-touch manufactured food products. Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 Roadside Maintenance, and company drivers can fuel up at over 800 Maintenance Facilities Nationwide. Ryder offers comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage after 30 days, 80 hours of PTO in the first year, uniforms, cell phone, and boot allowance. A 401(k) rollover is available immediately, with a company match after 1 year. Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test
  • Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
  • Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
  • Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
  • Maintaining accurate records and logs
  • Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
  • Performs other duties as assigned
