About The Position

Immediately Hiring a Dedicated SOLO Class A CDL Driver in Danville, VA. We want the right Employee to Drive with us at Ryder. Ryder Employees who Drive on this account earn $1600 or more Weekly and it gets better. Ryder Drivers are Paid Weekly. Hours Per Week: 50 or more hours per week. Solo Miles Pay: $0.545 per Mile with 2500 - 2800 Miles per Week. Solo Stops Pay: $15.00 per Stop with 4 Stops per Week. Per Diem Pay: $25.00 per night with 3 nights per Week. Paid Training. Schedule: Monday – Sunday (Resets will be at Home). Start Time: 6:00 am - 7:00 pm Dispatch Window. Deliver SOLO To: Up to 1500 miles from Danville- VA, WV, NC, AL, TN, KY, DE, MI, WI, OH, IN, CO, TX, IL, GA. Route: Regional. Tractor Type: 2024 Lonestar or 2022 Freightliner Sleeper, Refrigerators, Inverters, Microwaves and New Mattress. Trailer Type: Dry Van 48' & 53’. Freight: No Touch – Packing Adhesives. Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 Roadside Maintenance and Company Drivers fuel up the trucks at over 800 Maintenance Facilities Nationwide.

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
• Maintaining accurate records and logs
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Performs other duties as assigned
