About The Position

Immediate opening for a SOLO Class A CDL Truck Driver and we want the right Trucker to join us at Ryder in Glen Burnie, MD. Ryder Employees who Drive on this account earn $1350 or more Weekly and it gets better. Ryder Drivers are Paid Weekly with a Weekly Guarantee of $1250 per Week. Solo Miles Pay is $0.75 per Mile, Solo Stops Pay is $19.89 per Stop, and Per Diem Pay is $51.75 per night with 3 nights per Month. Overnights for Route in Ryder Booked Hotel are included. Paid Training is provided. The schedule is Monday – Friday with NO WEEKENDS, and the start time is between 5:00 AM - 6:30 AM. Deliver SOLO to MD, VA, WV, PA, OH, DE with a route that allows for Home Daily. The tractor type is Day Cab, and the trailer types include 42', 45', and 53' Dry Vans & occasional Straight Trucks. Ryder will train you on all equipment needed to be successful, including Electric & Manual Pallet Jack and Dolly. Freight is Touch – Flooring Material. Equipment includes 24/7 Roadside Maintenance and Company Drivers fuel up the trucks at over 800 Maintenance Facilities Nationwide.

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
• Maintaining accurate records and logs
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Performing other duties as assigned
