About The Position

As a Truck/Diesel Technician, you will be an essential part of the Shop Maintenance team at Baranko Companies. You'll play a key role in keeping our fleet of automotive and diesel vehicles running smoothly to support ongoing projects. This hands-on position provides an opportunity to apply your technical expertise and problem-solving abilities to contribute to the overall success of the company.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience as a diesel or truck technician.
  • Technical school or diesel mechanic certification preferred.
  • Dealership experience is a plus.
  • Strong working knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, air brakes systems, electrical systems, and diagnostic tools
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • Valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required)
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work in a physically demanding environment
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Must be willing to work in all weather conditions and be available for after-hours and on-call assignments when needed
  • Must pass a pre-employment urine drug test and comply with drug and alcohol policies during employment.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Must be 18 years or older to be considered for this position.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle issues, including engine, transmission, and electrical system problems.
  • Follow manufacturer's specifications and repair procedures.
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts, perform regular stock checks, and order new parts as needed.
  • Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair work, including work orders, inspection reports, and any other relevant documents.
  • Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Perform other related duties as needed.
