About The Position

SUMMARY: Responsible for verifying both inbound/outbound inventory matches on Company vehicles. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Ensure load accuracy at check out and check in by physically auditing inventories on unit. Complete and maintain required documentation/records for inventory audit. Enter inventory data in handheld computer. Visually inspect all incoming and outgoing vehicles. Fill and service break room vendors. Effectively manage time as a resource. Work independently with limited work direction. Ensure that all job responsibilities are performed in a safe and effective manner. Other duties as assigned or requested. Requirements

  • Good interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
  • Ability to read.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries from drivers and Customers.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions supplied in both written and verbal format.
  • Knowledge of handheld units.
  • Ability to receive, count, and handle large sums of money during route check in and settlement (placement of money and all keys in safe for overnight storage).
  • Check in and account for all keys from route drivers and all keys used in performing duties of the Truck Checker position.
  • Responsible for daily checking out and in of assigned keys (keys to vehicles, safe, and vending machines) that this position is required to use and handle during the work shift.
