About The Position

Hoist Installing is the process of installing a hoist to a truck chassis. Hoist installation is a multi-function position requiring welding operation, torch operation, grinding, hand tool & power tool operation, truck layout, print reading, and operational testing. Hourly Rate: $25.29 Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Review the truck chassis with the model of hoist to be mounted and plan out what steps are necessary to complete the installation. This includes modifications to truck chassis for required hoist clearances Mechanical: Use of hand tools & power tools are necessary to performs hoist installation MIG Weld along vertical & horizontal weld lines and examine welds for bead size and other specifications. This also includes torch set up & use Chips or grinds off excess weld, slag, or splatter Employee operates drill press, band saw, parts washer, & overhead hoist Installation of basic electric and hydraulics (installing PTO’s and hydraulic pumps) Able to pass the EHS Safety Training Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: 1-3 months of related experience and/or training preferred. Previous mechanical experience preferred. Basic math, tape measure reading, fractions and decimals Knowledge of electric, hydraulics and pneumatics preferred. Ability to understand and carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Requirements

  • 1-3 months of related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Previous mechanical experience preferred.
