An assembler performs repetitive line assembly operations to mass-produce seat products for the heavy-duty truck industry by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include the following. Other duties may be assigned as required. Ability to follow the work instructions in the production of a finished part. Ability to follow work specifications and production of fully assembled seats. Must be able to perform repetitive assembly of seat bases, arms, back, head rests and other seat components. Ability to use various hand tools and simple power equipment such as hammers, pliers, hand and power screw drivers, wrenches, and various other simple tools, gauges and holding devices. Performance of rework operations to correct faulty operation of units as assigned or instructed. Detect and report defective material, incomplete operations or unusual conditions to proper supervision. Work as a team member in a group setting, such as a work cell (cross training). Identify problems that affect quality and ability to assemble. Ability to train new employees in the assembly process. Follow and adhere to safety rules and regulations, employee handbook to be included (housekeeping, rules, etc.).
