About The Position

Xcel Energy is seeking one or more Troubleman to be located at the Chestnut Service Center in Minneapolis, MN. This role involves being the first responder for overhead and underground electric distribution and transmission systems. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, collaborative, possess a positive attitude, and be committed to safety, quality customer service, customer satisfaction, and productivity. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Presently hold a Journeyman Lineman Certificate
  • Have a working knowledge of all phases of distribution, construction, maintenance, and operating
  • Meet driver qualifications as specified and possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A Driver's license
  • Participate in after-hours emergency callouts
  • Be self-motivated and possess a positive attitude
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate commitment to working productively and safely
  • Be able to lift 50 pounds safely

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as a Troubleman and/or first responder experience
