About The Position
This recruitment will be used to establish a hiring list for current and future Trooper Trainee positions throughout the state. This test will be conducted on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at 6:00 AM at AZ DPS TRACK, 2039 W LEWIS AVE, PHOENIX, AZ 85009. Must successfully complete the examination process. Written Examination & Physical Fitness Test. Applicants meeting the qualifications will be emailed an invitation with additional testing information. Those successfully completing all portions of the testing process will be placed on a list which will be used to fill current and future vacancies. Under direct supervision, performs work in a structured program to gain practical work experience in the administrative and operational functions of the Highway Patrol Division. May rotate from assignment to assignment within the agency to learn and contribute to administrative or professional processes. Performs related duties as assigned. This classification is a temporary assignment; no permanent positions are allocated to this classification. Incumbents may remain in this classification up to seven (7) years from the start of the initial assignment but cannot exceed the age of 25 years while in this classification. This classification is designated as uncovered. Incumbent serves at the pleasure of the Director of the Arizona Department of Public Safety. Incumbents in this classification may work full-time or intermittently. This recruitment may close without notice.
