About The Position
As a Trimmer Trainee at The Davey Tree Expert Company, you will embark on an exciting journey into the world of tree care and maintenance. You will be trained to climb trees and operate as a vital member of a tree crew, progressively acquiring new skills that are essential for tree pruning and removal services. In this position, you will engage in a variety of tasks including pruning, thinning, and removing deadwood from the tree canopy. You will also learn how to install cables, bracing, and lightning protection systems, as well as assist in the removal of hazardous trees. A significant part of your training will involve the proper maintenance, preparation, and operation of essential tools and equipment such as chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
