About The Position

TriMet LIFT Paratransit Driver We are currently on the lookout for an experienced Bus Driver to join our elite team in Portland, OR to join our T riMet LIFT contract . As a key member, you will be entrusted with ensuring safe and comfortable transportation for our passengers, while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and customer service. Our Paratransit Operators assist ADA passengers by providing door-to-door services for those customers . Transdev is proud to offer: CBA Position: Full Time Position Subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement: $25.71 - $36.26 (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Payscale) o Starting pay $25.71 with progression to $36.26 over 3 years. Key Responsibilities: Safety-Focused Operations: Execute flawless operations by meticulously following designated routes and schedules, while adhering to stringent safety protocols and traffic regulations. Passenger Care: Exhibit exceptional care and assistance towards passengers, ensuring smooth boarding, comfortable rides, and timely disembarkation for all. Vehicle Vigilance: Champion vehicle safety through comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip inspections, promptly reporting any maintenance issues, and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety equipment readiness. Adherence to Protocols: Uphold company policies and procedures rigorously, encompassing seat belt enforcement, emergency response preparedness, and compliance with regulatory mandates. O perates a transit bus or van and transports passengers with disabilities safely in accordance with Company policy and local, county, state, and federal laws. Provides door-to-door assistance to passengers to safely travel between the vehicle and the door of home or destination. This includ es escorting and assisting passengers with disabilities including pushing wheelchairs up and down ramps, assisting passengers up and down stairs , steps and curbs and inclines, assisting passengers on the vehicle and securing passengers and their mobility aids on the vehicle. Other duties as required

Requirements

• 21 years or older
• Minimum 5 years of driving experience (personal or professional)
• Excellent communication & customer service skills.
• Must have or obtain valid driver’s license issued in the state of Oregon or Washington before training starts
• Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
• Must be able to work assigned shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and flexible or split schedules as required by operational needs.
• Must be able pass a DOT physical and maintain a DOT card throughout employment.
• Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.
• DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
• Be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future (if based in the U.S.).
• Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.
