About The Position

Responsible for preparation and operating trimmer to automatically trim and square lithographed metal sheets by means of three point gauging.

Requirements

• A minimum of one (1) year high school education.
• GED equivalency.
• A minimum of one (1) year vocational school, which could include short specialty courses.
• One (1) year experience is necessary to develop skills and knowledge to perform proficiently.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for checking production order for any special shear instructions.
• Set up trimmer for production after the load of metal sheets is placed by lift truck operator on the input conveyor.
• Adjust various gauges to ensure accurate cutting and stacking of metal sheets.
• Care must be exercised in setting gauges to obtain accurate feeding and cutting and to prevent scratches during the entire time that the metal sheets are proceeding through the machine and stacking operation.
• Adjust gauges at any time to compensate for variations inherent in the particular load of stock that is being trimmed.
• Keep departmental work area, aisles, equipment and storage areas safe, orderly and free of obstructions.
• Position requires pushing, pulling or lifting heavy objects ranging up to approximately 60 lbs.
