About The Position

Weyerhaeuser is seeking a Trim Saw Operator for its Natchitoches Engineered Wood Products (EWP) manufacturing facility located in Natchitoches, LA. This hourly position within Microlam Products and will be responsible for operating and monitoring a 2' trim saw, which is used to cut boards into lengths ranging from 4 feet to 38 feet.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED.
• At least 2 years' experience working in wood products manufacturing.
• A current resume or detailed education and work history is required for consideration.
• Ability to meet objectives while working un-supervised.
• Ability to read and follow detailed instructions.

Responsibilities

• Refer to the run sheet to set up backstop for the appropriate length of cut.
• Send wood down the line for stacking and wrapping after wood is cut.
• Inspect wood visually and pull out and reject if defects are found.
• Utilize the automatic chains to move boards off of line.
• Remove trim tails from the back of the trim saw and place into dumpster.
• Stay in close communication with other members of the Microlam Products team.
• Cleanup activities as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
