The Recruitment and Outreach Specialist for the NOAA Grant program plays a crucial role in fostering student engagement and promoting educational pathways in natural resources and related fields. This position focuses on recruiting Native students, building relationships with tribal communities, and coordinating outreach efforts to support student enrollment, retention, and success. The specialist serves as a bridge between Grays Harbor College, tribal communities, and prospective students, ensuring culturally responsive outreach and recruitment strategies. The Recruitment and Outreach Specialist position is full-time, with occasional evening or weekend hours required for events. This position is grant-funded and continued employment will be contingent on the availability of grant funds. Grays Harbor College has an excellent benefits package to include medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, primary and supplemental retirement programs and long-term disability insurance. Full-time employees will also receive 15.34 hours of vacation leave per month, 8 hours of sick leave per month and 4 personal leave days a year.
