The Litigation Paralegal supports attorneys in all phases of mass tort litigation in state and federal courts. This role is fast-paced and detail-driven, requiring strong organizational skills, litigation experience, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines while collaborating closely with attorneys, paralegals, and case assistants Salary: $30.00-$40.00 per hour Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualifications for the role. Key Responsibilities The Big Picture Provide comprehensive litigation support throughout the lifecycle of mass tort cases, from discovery through trial and post-trial motions. Manage case materials, deadlines, and court filings to ensure compliance with procedural rules and litigation timelines. Serve as a key liaison between attorneys, clients, experts, and external vendors. Specific Tasks Litigation Support Assist attorneys with preparation for hearings, depositions, and trials, including drafting and organizing trial materials, coordinating expert witnesses, and preparing clients for key meetings and testimony. Support depositions and discovery by summarizing transcripts, managing key documents, and ensuring timely follow-up on requests. Provide trial support by managing witnesses, exhibits, pretrial materials, and logistics. Prepare and organize materials for expert witness review. Case Management & Calendaring Communicate regularly with clients regarding case status and requests. Calendar and track all deadlines, hearings, and court dates. Identify, track, and manage case-related deadlines using electronic calendaring systems. Upload and maintain client and case information in case management databases. Document Management & Discovery Manage electronic information, document review, and production, including bates-stamping, scanning, coding, and searching. Create and maintain privilege logs. Prepare trial exhibits and organize client documents. Review, analyze, and organize files for document productions. Court Filings & Legal Drafting Handle court filings, discovery responses, deposition notices, and related litigation documents. Draft legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings. Format and finalize complex legal briefs, including tables of authorities and tables of contents, in compliance with court rules. Manage CM/ECF and PACER filings and coordinate service of pleadings and subpoenas.
