About The Position

The Trial Attorney position at Robert Half involves managing a busy legal practice in Stockton, California. Requirements

  • Possession of a valid license to practice law
  • Experience with 3M or similar data management software
  • Proficiency in using Adobe Acrobat for document handling
  • Familiarity with Case Management Software for tracking and managing legal cases
  • Experience with Conveyancer or similar legal software
  • Demonstrated skills in Document Management, including storing, managing and tracking electronic documents
  • Ability to conduct effective Briefing sessions with clients and team members
  • Experience in Civil Litigation, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and trial preparation
  • Knowledge of Claim Administration procedures, including claim processing and dispute resolution
  • Proven track record in Complaint Handling, resolving customer issues in a timely and effective manner
  • Understanding of Consumer Electronics for the purpose of handling related cases
  • Comfortable with Court Appearances, including presenting arguments and examination of witnesses
  • Experience in Criminal Litigation, including defending or prosecuting criminal cases
  • Extensive background in Litigation, with the ability to manage all phases of the litigation process from investigation, pleadings and discovery to pre-trial, trial, settlement and appeal.

Responsibilities

  • Review and correct errors in legal documents such as pleadings and letters
  • Effectively manage and prioritize a high volume of tasks and responsibilities
  • Familiarize with and apply rules related to family law disclosures, service of process, and calculating deadlines
  • Communicate verbally in an effective manner with both clients and co-workers
  • Adapt and learn to use new software programs for case management and document handling
  • Handle a busy practice while paying attention to details and prioritizing tasks
  • Complete family law, civil, and other California Judicial Council Forms with minimal assistance
  • Utilize the San Joaquin County Superior Court e-filing system
  • Gain proficiency with Vision SQL/Compulaw/Aderant calendaring software
  • Develop skills with Microsoft Office 365 for tasks and calendars, spreadsheets and formulas, and other advanced features of the Office programs.
