About The Position

Mass General Brigham, a not-for-profit organization, relies on diverse professionals to advance its mission of patient care, research, teaching, and community service. The Mass General Brigham Medical Group, a system-led entity, delivers high-quality, community-based ambulatory care, including primary, specialty, behavioral, and urgent care, as well as outpatient surgery, imaging, and cardiac testing across Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine. Wentworth Health Partners, an affiliate of Wentworth-Douglass Hospital and member of Mass General Brigham Medical Group, provides comprehensive, personalized women's health care in Dover and Portsmouth, NH. Their teams offer expert care in Obstetrics, Gynecology, Urogynecology, Infertility, and LGBTQ+ care. This role is for a Per Diem Triage RN to support these Women's Health teams, filling staffing gaps due to call-outs, vacations, leaves, and vacancies. The operating hours for practices are 7:00am-5:00pm, with staggered 8-hour shifts. This RN will float between multiple OB/GYN and Women’s Health locations in Dover and Portsmouth, NH.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree Nursing required
  • Registered Nurse [RN - State License] - required
  • Clinical nursing experience 0-1 year required
  • Proficient knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and professional development.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs) and healthcare technologies.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred
  • Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - preferred
  • Ambulatory care or outpatient experience 1-2 years preferred
  • EPIC Experience
  • OBGYN / Women's Health Experience
  • Phone Triage Experience
  • 2-3 years of Nursing Experience

Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct patient care and support, ensuring high nursing standards.
  • Conduct patient assessments, devise care plans, and assist in outpatient procedures with a focus on patient comfort and safety.
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and post-procedure care.
  • Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
  • Administer medications, perform IV therapy, and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with regulations.
  • Uphold infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
