About The Position

The Triage Licensed Vocational Nurse is responsible for providing critical patient care and support in a fast-paced environment. This role involves both phone triaging and in-person patient care, demanding exceptional clinical skills, professionalism, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care.

Requirements

• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Athena EMR experience preferred.
• 1+ year of professional nursing experience in a clinical setting; OB/GYN experience is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in administering injections, performing phlebotomy, and providing patient education.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to respond calmly in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough phone triaging, assessing patient symptoms and medical history to determine urgency and direct appropriate care.
• Greet and prepare in-person patients for examinations, including taking vital signs and documenting all necessary information.
• Assist physicians during exams and procedures, administer injections, and provide patient education.
• Perform Non-Stress Tests (NSTs) and ultrasound scans.
• Recognize urgent situations and initiate appropriate protocols.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of all emergency events.
• Manage patient flow, participate in appointment scheduling, and collect payments.
• Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines and infection control practices.
