About The Position

The Triage Analyst will support the Health and Human Services (HHS), Office for Civil Rights (OCR) by contributing to its success and performance through various mission support activities. Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain government security clearance.
  • Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills are required.
  • Ability to work in a team or independently in a busy environment is required.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, etc.).
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of management and coworkers, as well as a wide range of people with diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information with exceptional discretion.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Ability to produce quality work, meet critical deadlines and pay attention to detail in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Minimum educational experience is Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university or experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or higher in the Federal Government.

Responsibilities

  • Independently review a high volume of complaints to identify potential violations of HIPAA Rules and applicable federal civil rights, conscience and religious freedom regulations and provide initial recommendations on addressing complaints for administrative, non-investigative closure using prewritten templates and established case resolution guidelines to the COR.
  • Drafts case processing documentation ensuring all applicable regulations and policies are adhered to and ensuring documentation is prepared with no grammatical errors or misspellings.
  • As requested by the COR, conduct training sessions with new staff.
  • Knowledge of the application of nondiscrimination and conscience regulations, the HIPAA Rules, court decisions, agency case precedent, theories, concepts, and principles to investigation, enforcement, and compliance work.
