About The Position
Palmetto Family Homecare is seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as PCA/Caregivers. This role is essential in providing personal care and support to our clients in various locations including West Ashley, North Charleston, Downtown Charleston, and Mt. Pleasant. We offer both full-time and part-time positions with immediate hiring opportunities. As a PCA/Caregiver, you will be responsible for assisting clients with their daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This includes personal care and grooming, toileting and incontinence care, light housekeeping tasks, and meal preparation. You will also be responsible for medication reminders and helping clients keep their appointments. We are looking for team players who are dependable, eager to work, and possess a compassionate nature. Reliable transportation and effective communication skills are essential for this role. Additionally, candidates should be physically capable of lifting and transferring clients, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Experience with Hoyer lifts is a plus, but not mandatory. You will need to communicate effectively with clients and accurately report any changes in their condition to the office staff.
