World Relief is a global Christian humanitarian organization whose mission is to boldly engage the world's greatest crises in partnership with the church. The organization was founded in the aftermath of World War II to respond to the urgent humanitarian needs of war-torn Europe. Since then, for 80 years, across 100 countries, World Relief has partnered with local churches and communities to build a world where families thrive and communities flourish. Today, organizational programming focuses on humanitarian and disaster response, community strengthening and resilience, and refugee & immigrant services and advocacy. This position is reliant upon funding and may be subject to modification or termination based on resource availability. The Site Director is the principal representative of World Relief in the local community. This position provides strategic leadership and oversight of the local team and office. The Site Director is responsible for overall management, technical development, implementation, personnel, budget and financial oversight of all programs as well as building partnerships with multiple stakeholders and funders.

  • Supervise staff and monitor daily work activities.
  • Track and approve timesheets including time off.
  • Monitor performance and document performance concerns.
  • Lead staff in a manner consistent with Christian values.

  • Provide coaching and supervision of direct reports.

  • Foster effective communication within the office.
  • Manage federal and state grant funding streams.
  • Oversee office fiscal health and budget development.
  • Establish and develop strategic programmatic initiatives.
  • Facilitate regular meetings with staff and program managers.
  • Engage with local churches for funding and partnership.
  • Establish an annual engagement plan for local fundraising.
  • Participate in local advocacy efforts.
  • Mature and personal Christian faith.
  • Committed to the mission, vision, and values of World Relief.
  • Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities.
  • Experience working with immigrant communities and/or other underrepresented communities.
  • Cross-cultural experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • 4+ years of progressive management experience.
  • Experience managing budgets in excess of $2 million.
  • Development experience raising a minimum of $200,000.
  • Advanced computer skills (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated experience managing federal and state grant funding streams.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Previous supervisory experience required.
  • Master's or other advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • Fundraising and Development Skills.
  • Confident public speaker.
  • Leadership and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple demands in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Program design and marketing skills a plus.
