About The Position
The Trimmer/Climber Trainee position is a full-time, non-exempt role that involves trimming and removing trees using various climbing techniques and equipment. The role requires working from ladders, safety belts, and powered trimmer lift trucks, as well as performing ground-level tasks with saws and pruners. Responsibilities include cutting branches, lowering them safely, spraying stumps to prevent growth, and loading/unloading trucks with debris. The position also involves training new employees, ensuring safety practices, and maintaining equipment in good working order. The work environment can be hazardous, requiring the use of personal protective equipment and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
