About The Position
The Trimmer/Climber Trainee position is a full-time, non-exempt role that reports to the Foreperson or General Foreperson. The essential functions of this role include trimming and removing trees by climbing with the aid of various equipment, cutting branches or trunk sections, and managing the safe lowering of these materials to the ground. The position requires the use of appropriate tools for felling trees, spraying stumps to prevent further growth, and loading/unloading trucks with logs and debris. The trainee will also be responsible for maintaining safety in the work area, training new employees, and ensuring the proper working conditions of tools and equipment. The role involves working in various weather conditions and around hazardous equipment, necessitating the use of personal protective equipment.
