The Trimmer/Advanced Climber position is a full-time, non-exempt role that reports to the Foreperson or General Foreperson. The essential functions of this role include trimming and removing trees by climbing with the aid of various equipment, cutting branches or trunk sections, and managing the safe lowering of these materials to the ground. The position requires the use of appropriate tools for felling trees, spraying stumps to prevent regrowth, and loading/unloading trucks with logs and debris. The role also involves repairing minor damage caused by tree trimming, directing traffic, and ensuring safety in the work area. The Trimmer/Advanced Climber is responsible for training new employees, maintaining equipment, and adhering to safety practices while working in various weather conditions and terrains.
