About The Position

Line clearance tree trimming in Grand Rapids area. Tree Trimmer Foreman Chop Tree Service Chop Tree Service is seeking an experienced Tree Trimmer Foreman to lead crews in performing utility vegetation management and right-of-way tree operations. This position is responsible for overseeing daily field operations, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering high-quality work for our utility and municipal partners.

Requirements

• Previous experience in utility line clearance and vegetation management
• Strong knowledge of safe tree climbing, rigging, and equipment operation
• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred or ability to obtain)
• Commitment to safety, teamwork, and professional work standards

Nice To Haves

• Prior foreman or crew leadership experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise tree trimming and removal crews
• Ensure compliance with ANSI standards, OSHA regulations, and company safety policies
• Conduct job site hazard assessments and daily tailboard safety meetings
• Operate and oversee the use of bucket trucks, chippers, chainsaws, and related equipment
• Maintain productivity, quality standards, and project timelines
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, and the public
• Train and mentor crew members
