About The Position

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to work with hands above head for extended periods.
• Must be able to walk, climb, and work from ladders at various heights.
• No fear of heights and good hand-to-eye coordination.
• Willingness to work long hours and overtime during emergencies.

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in tree trimming or related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Trims and/or removes trees using various tools and equipment.
• Climbs with the aid of ladders and safety gear to perform tree trimming tasks.
• Operates and services required tools and equipment, including chain saws and woodchippers.
• Plans, assigns, directs, and coordinates work activities.
• Obtains permission from property owners for tree work.
• Maintains good customer and public relations during work activities.
• Sprays areas to prevent further growth of trees.
• Loads and unloads trucks with tree debris.
• Repairs minor damage to lawns and walkways caused during work.
• Safeguards employees and the public from hazards in the work area.
• Sets up barriers and warning signs to protect the work area.
• Assists in training new employees and performs inspections of tools and equipment.
