About The Position

Wright Outdoor Solutions offers indoor and outdoor services to residential and commercial customers and their communities across the Midwest. These services include tree care, landscaping design install and maintenance, interior plant design and maintenance, lawn care, holiday lights and décor, snow and ice management, and mulch. The Tree Stump Grinder is responsible for operating various equipment, completing related assignments with precision and efficiency, and ensuring the proper care and use of maintenance equipment.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL and clean driving record
• Prior experience operating a stump grinder is preferred
• Must have valid First-Aid and CPR cards or be willing to obtain one
• Ability to operate and service all required tools and equipment
• Ability to push, pull, reach, climb, kneel, lift (up to 100 lbs.) and walk for extended periods of time
• Must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently
• Must be dependable, punctual and have a strong work ethic
• Must be detail-oriented and have good communication skills
• Must be adaptable in a changing work environment
• Ability to read and interpret daily work orders
• Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with employees and vendors

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience operating a stump grinder is preferred

Responsibilities

• Operate stump grinder machine for tree care related assignments
• Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices
• Must have the ability to be proactive, plan ahead and problem solve to minimize disruption, errors, risks and to keep job on-task, within budget and on-schedule
• Maintain work vehicle to be clean, organized, and operational condition on a daily basis
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work and meetings
• Work flexible hours in all weather conditions to accommodate the seasonality of the industry
• Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations
• Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with industry and company standards

• Perform other duties as related or assigned in all service areas of Wright Outdoor Solutions
