About The Position

The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a day shift Treatment Technician career opportunity within the Addictive & Mental Disorders/Montana Chemical Dependency Center. The Montana Chemical Dependency Center is the only in-patient chemical dependency treatment center administered by the state. We service individuals 18 and older who have been diagnosed as having an addiction to drugs or alcohol or who suffer from both addiction and mental disorders. Responsibilities of the Treatment Technician include communicating with patients to understand needs and assists with activities of daily living. Records patients date such as behavioral observations, vital signs, systems etc. and gathers information for patients’ admissions and inputs into the system. Requirements

  • Knowledge of patient admission process. This process includes but limited to, establishing patient’s charts’, completing release of information, searching patient’s belongings.
  • Can conduct patient orientation which includes a tour of the facility and guidelines.
  • Ability to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, maintains them over time.
  • High school diploma or the equivalent.
  • Two years of job-related experience working with people in a healthcare setting.
  • Other combinations of related education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
  • Must have or willing to obtain prior to hire date a valid CPR/AED/FIRST AID certification card.
