About The Position

The Treatment Advocate (TA) position at AdCare of Rhode Island American Addiction Centers is a per diem role focused on providing compassionate care to adults struggling with addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders. The TA will assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges, while supporting patients' daily activities and encouraging their recovery. This role is essential in identifying and addressing patient needs in collaboration with nursing and clinical staff, contributing to a culture of trust and respect within the facility.

Requirements

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA or HHA experience preferred, certification a plus.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and effectively.
• Good communication skills, including the ability to communicate sensitive information with empathy.
• Working knowledge of Google Office and EMR preferred.
• Substance Abuse experience/knowledge preferred.

Nice To Haves

• CNA or HHA certification
• Experience with substance abuse knowledge
• Familiarity with EMR systems

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient admissions, room transfers, and discharges.
• Support patients' daily activities and needs.
• Provide 1:1 patient observation and comfort.
• Facilitate patient transfers within the facility.
• Encourage patient recovery and communicate patient needs effectively.
