Requirements

  • Required plant safety orientation
  • Pass the state pesticide certification exam
  • Respiratory training and pass the medical exam and fit test (clean shaved face may be required)
  • Solid knowledge of all federal and state regulations related to the treating department
  • Solid knowledge of quality control standards related to the treating department
  • Complete all required “Continuous Education Units” to keep pesticide certification
  • Solid knowledge on hazardous waste regulations

Responsibilities

  • Assist in all duties of Treating Engineer and related tasks
  • Operate forklift, and limited operating of front-end loader
  • Accurately filling out required records daily and as required
  • Cleaning/greasing trams and drip pads
  • Handling, disposal and storing hazardous waste
  • Assist in Lock Out/Tag Out and Confined Space
  • Proper handling and mixing of chemicals, preservative and oil
  • Preventative maintenance and assisting in repairs
  • Operate certain aspects of treating at or above target production levels
  • Participates and contributes to company safety program
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
