About The Position

The Senior Treasury Relationship Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth through the sale of treasury management products and services to commercial clients. This position is primarily responsible for self-sourcing Treasury-focused and deposit-focused book of business. May include cross sell opportunities, including Commercial Card, Merchant Services, Investment vehicles. This role focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective customers, understanding their cash management needs, and delivering tailored solutions that enhance efficiency, mitigate risk, and optimize liquidity. The officer collaborates closely with relationship managers, product specialists, and internal partners to provide expert guidance and ensure seamless implementation of treasury solutions. Along with the key functions listed below, each position will be expected to uphold the value that Washington Federal places on simply being kind when servicing our co-workers and WF clients.

Requirements

  • Position requires a Bachelor's Degree with a concentration in finance and/or accounting preferred.
  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) or Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) required.
  • Must possess a thorough knowledge of bank operations, policies, procedures & Bank/TM products.
  • Must have a good math aptitude and be proficient in MS Office. Minimum of 10 years cash/treasury management sales experience in a financial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Primarily responsible for self-sourcing Treasury-focused and deposit-focused book of business. May include cross sell opportunities, including Commercial Card, Merchant Services, Investment vehicles.
  • Provides expert product knowledge during sales calls with potential and existing clients.
  • Provides effective sales culture leadership for the profitable expansion of Deposit and Treasury Management relationships to support strategic growth.
  • Partners with Relationship Managers to prepare for new client calls and to identify new sales opportunities with existing clients.
  • Maintain and develop a strong network, to include sourcing independent treasury opportunities.
  • Writes professional quality proposals and respond to formal RFP's.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to both external clients and internal colleagues throughout the bank.
  • Conduct internal and external training sessions on product changes and Treasury Management.
  • Maintain knowledge base of current and emerging business and Treasury Management products.
  • Ensure the accurate implementation and servicing of all deposit and Treasury Management relationships.
  • Update Relationship Managers regarding critical developments in customer relationships.
  • Work with operations, servicing, and product support personnel to ensure successful client on-boarding, customer satisfaction and ongoing support.
  • Complete additional tasks and special projects as assigned by manager.
  • This position will be asked to provide coverage locally as well as throughout the state and potentially in other state(s). Occasional travel will be required.
  • Lead effective relationship reviews identifying additional opportunities to expand services and revenue.
