About The Position

The Treasury Management Relationship Specialist supports the growth and retention of business relationships by delivering treasury management solutions that help customers operate more efficiently, securely, and confidently. This role focuses on building strong, long-term relationships with small to mid-size business customers through a consultative, needs-based approach. The Treasury Management Relationship Specialist partners closely with commercial lenders, branch teams, and electronic banking partners to support commercial growth by expanding treasury services, growing core deposits, and increasing non-interest income. Requirements

  • Experience supporting or participating in consultative, solutions-based sales conversations
  • Strong working knowledge of treasury management and cash management products
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Highly organized, customer-focused, and comfortable managing multiple relationships
  • Ability to work independently and proactively while collaborating closely with internal partners
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-4 years of experience in treasury management, business banking, or a related financial services role

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field preferred
  • Proficiency with digital banking platforms and CRM tools preferred

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with business customers by understanding their operational and cash flow needs.
  • Identify opportunities to introduce and expand treasury management solutions within new and existing business relationships.
  • Conduct consultative conversations to recommend appropriate treasury management services, including ACH, remote deposit capture, wire services, online and mobile banking, fraud prevention tools such as positive pay, and payment processing services.
  • Partner closely with commercial lenders, branch managers, and branch teams to support new business acquisition and relationship expansion.
  • Participate in joint sales calls and customer meetings as a treasury management subject matter resource.
  • Lead product presentations, demonstrations, and solution discussions tailored to each customer’s goals.
  • Coordinate onboarding and implementation in collaboration with electronic banking teams and relationship officers to ensure a smooth and positive customer experience.
  • Monitor assigned portfolio activity, product usage, and relationship performance to support retention and growth.
  • Proactively identify cross-sell opportunities that deepen relationships and increase service adoption.
  • Coordinate with the Electronic Banking Manager to conduct annual on-site reviews for treasury management clients.
  • Champion treasury management solutions internally through education, engagement, and collaboration.
  • Stay current on treasury management products, technology, and regulatory requirements, including any required annual continuing education training.
  • Represent the bank at community events, networking functions, and business activities to strengthen relationships and identify potential business customers.
