The Relationship Manager - Digital Banking at Pacific Premier Bank is responsible for generating new commercial deposit and treasury management relationships by leveraging the bank's proprietary API technology. This role requires strong direct sales skills to acquire clients from various industries, utilizing a systematic sales approach to analyze business needs and demonstrate the bank's solutions. The position involves cultivating relationships with targeted platforms and cross-selling treasury management solutions.

  • Develop new banking relationships via cold calling, networking, email, and industry events.
  • Sell complex treasury management services and API banking integrations to users and providers of niche software systems.
  • Share industry knowledge to earn new client and software vendor relationships.
  • Review account analysis, create business proposals, and share complex proformas with prospective clients.
  • Travel nationally to develop new business and attend industry events.
  • Partner with Treasury Management and API Application Development teams to create new sales opportunities.
  • Conduct client needs analysis and develop proposed solutions and sales presentations.
  • Coordinate implementation calls to ensure service concepts are delivered as proposed.
  • Manage new clients to ensure service levels are maintained and customer satisfaction is achieved.
  • Upsell new products and services to increase revenue.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of treasury management and commercial deposit related experience required.
  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), Certified Cash Manager (CCM), or Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) designation preferred.
  • Strong client interaction skills and ability to influence the sales process.
  • Strong treasury knowledge to solve complex treasury needs.
  • Aptitude for powerful presentations and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Technical Treasury Management competencies.
  • Understanding of Treasury Management products and solutions.
  • Understanding of Application Programming Interface (API) technology.
  • Ability to build new and existing client relationships.
  • Ability to evaluate client needs.
  • Strong understanding of the Account Analysis process.
  • Basic understanding of financial statement analysis.
  • Experience in commercial/rental/multi-family property management, homeowner associations, legal/bankruptcy, healthcare, utilities, title/escrow, trust & custody, or 1031 Exchange industries.
