This role offers a unique "deep dive" into bank operations, institutional financial markets, and the strategic role of Treasury. You will gain hands-on experience with sophisticated banking products, including fixed income, derivatives, loans, and deposits.

Requirements

  • Ability to operate IBM compatible personal computers; fluency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Currently pursuing university studies, preferably a master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Interest in the financial markets
  • Basic understanding of fixed income, derivatives, and statistics.
  • Proficiency in Python for data analysis or automation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct financial and risk analysis of fixed-income issuers
  • Evaluate and analyze balance sheet performance
  • Identify emerging market opportunities
  • Conduct regulatory research to ensure compliance with shifting financial landscapes
  • Reporting construction
  • Participate in data quality improvement projects
  • Reporting automation
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and strategy discussions.
  • Ability to understand, speak, read and write English and Spanish
  • Assume evolving duties and responsibilities of position
  • Provide coverage for other positions as requested
  • Ability to carry and lift boxes and objects that may weigh between 10 and 25 pounds.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
